Why does Platco PR1 appear on iPhone Bluetooth under 'other devices'?

Why does platco pr1 appear on my iPhone Bluetooth app under “other devices”. It appears & disappears when my husband is home & @ work. I found some earbuds nearby where I sit outside on my patio. My phone picks up the platco there but disappeared when I destroyed earbuds I found near my chair. I had my husband show me his Bluetooth settings & I found nothing. Should’ve he had his earbuds logged?

That’s some other Bluetooth device in proximity.

An organization known as Universal Electronics reportedly uses that name, and they provide all sorts of gear including entertainment controls, sensing devices, climate control, and other products.

Get the (free) app LightBlue, and see if that can help you localize this particular Bluetooth source, based on relative signal strength.

That Bluetooth identifier looks like electronic communications components that can be used within various other gear.

You’ll need to watch relative signal strengths, though Bluetooth gear that is nearby in a transient basis or within other nearby residencies or businesses can be (is) entirely normal.

Cryptocurrencies are somewhere between exceedingly speculative, and a vehicle for scams, fraud, and money laundering, and are unrelated to Bluetooth hardware. Some cryptocurrency hardware wallet might (and probably also unwisely) have always-active Bluetooth, though.

Finding unexpected Bluetooth cameras aimed at areas within your home would be somewhere between fodder for discussions, and fodder for legal or police discussions, particularly with whoever installed those.

Thank you. I had universal insurance & they never paid me after I lost everything including my Volvo. I did see an endorsement policy for the following year that was sent to his house before we moved in together. I believe the unused money was transferred into start up companies or crypto? Long story but I think he’s tracking my every move? I’m lost for words but I will try downloading what you suggested. Hope it works. I’ll keep ya posted. 🙏

Good morning

thank you for you response. I did check blue Light but was unsuccessful. I downloaded another app & it picked up 2/cameras at my home. It’s a work in progressive. I read that it may be coming from a Xumo box that was just installed 2/mos.ago. ? It also can be a hearing device? It’s ironic that when I discussed this Xumo box with my husband & had the phone in my hand, the “platco pr1” disappearef.
