IPad M1 "Reset" to wipe my Backup Encryption Password (?)
Hi all !
I want to edit my iPad Air M1 Backup with a 3rd Party App ie: Imazing.
It backs up my iPad and makes an editable and restorable image" of my backup no problems.
The Problem ?
When I go to edit it, it asks for the encryption password.
I have no idea what password [if any] I used - so I cant do the editing and selective restoring I want to do.
So I did some Googling and found the (a) "Reset" and (b) "Erase All Contents and Settings" options.
I know (b) is a full factory wipe and reset to new in the box - I dont want that.
My Question ?
Will (a) ... "Reset" ... allow me to make a new iCloud Backup that is unencrypted so I can use Imazing to edit and restore all or bits of it as I please ?
And will it leave all my Data, Apps etc.... untouched and running ?
Thanks,
Ben
