Why is my new MacBook Air M4 'Preparing to Ship' for 3 days?

Order new macbook air M4 on 6th March 2025, but from 3 days it is showing that “Preparing to Ship”. I can’t understand that what is going wrong please show some fresh update.

Preparing to ship is the status assigned once the order to received and approved. Apple computers are not manufactured ahead of time. There is no shelf inventory. Your computer needs to be manufactured in China and the status remains "Preparing to Ship" until the computer is built and received by the shipping department. Once shipped the order status will change to "Shipped". You should receive your computer on the date indicated unless there is some unforeseen event..

This is user forum - we are all end-users like you here.


Therefore, you won't get any "official" answer what so ever from Apple.


One thing I want to add would be: If you specially ordered the Mac (such as extra memory/SSD capacity) - likely it will be shipped from China.

When you ordered the Mac, you should get a reference number and "expected" delivery date - that you should follow up with those information (but not here).
