Is there a stylus that works on a Macbook trackpad?

Older people, especially those with diabetic neuropathy, have trouble using trackpads because the nerve endings in their fingers don't generate as much of an electrical charge from their fingers. Since diabetes is only growing, and the older population is used to using devices, it would be good if there were a device that could be used on track pads and touch screens by individuals with this problem.

Please suggest any workarounds or other solutions.
