Can strangers 'call twice' to bypass silent mode on iPhone 14 Pro Max?

Ive tried many settings but it seems ONLY people in your contacts can call twice to get through on silent. Is there a way strangers can "call twice" while on silent and get through? I want them to. Thanks for any help or work around to make this happen. Iphone 14 pro max.

Silence phone but ringer for calls Hi, it’s pretty common for the majority of people to keep the phone on silent at all times, at least for the younger generations. We type so much and take so many pictures that it’s better off on silent. But last night my friend tried to call me in the middle of the night and I didn’t wake up to accept it as my phone is always on silent. Is there a possible way I can toggle something so when I get a phone call it rings through. I wouldn’t mind hearing every call on the off chance I get woke up in the night to an important call

Ringing on silent mode My phone sometimes rings out loud when I am on silent mode if I get 3 calls in a row and I am trying to figure out how to disable that. I read another Q&A that mentioned you can disable the “allow repeated calls” feature in Do Not Disturb, but ideally I’d like to maintain that setting when I’m in Do Not Disturb. It seems like there should be separate settings for silent mode, but is that not the case?

No, there is no setting for this. Only callers in your contacts list can get through.
