iMac M1 (24") not recognising a new Kensington SD2600T nano dock

I have connected a Kensington SD2600T nano dock to my iMac (24" M1) in order to expand my peripherals. I have connected it to the host port on the front of the nano dock to a thunderbolt connection on my iMac, but my iMac isn't recognising it. Have I connected it wrong, or is it not compatible? Everything I have found so far says it should work.

iMac 24″, macOS 14.6

Where are you looking for the dock. What do you expect should happen?

Unless there's something connected to it, the dock won't appear anywhere on the Mac for you to see directly.

If you connect a display to one of the Thunderbolt ports, the display should appear in the Displays option in System settings.

If you connect an external drive or flash drive to it, you would see the drive in Finder.

Outside of that, just connecting the dock on its own will not do anything visible on the Mac.
