Why did FedEx fail to deliver my Apple Watch 10 package?

FedEx failed to deliver my iwatch 10 from the Apple repair facility in Elk Grove today. Our neighborhood has a gate with a keypad and name screen to be used to contact residents. The FedEx driver did not use the screen or wait a few minutes for a resident to open the gate. Instead the FedEx driver posted a picture of the gate area to the ‘I can’t make a delivery’ message on FedEx’ tracking message board. FedEx vehicles of various sizes are in our neighborhood everyday. I am so disappointed with FedEx, and Apple for using FedEx.

Apple ships millions of devices annually using UPS or FedEx. Your issue is with FedEx and you need to follow up with the local FedEx facility with your tracking number.

You may need to sign for that FedEx shipment at the nearest FedEx office. Whining about Apple doing better is not the issue since Apple does not control FedEx, or local issues preventing FedEx from delivery. Obtaining your package from FedEx should be your principal concern. Contact them, not Apple about that process.

FedEx says ‘Due to Shipper restrictions,additional delivery options are not available for this shipment’. The Apple AI response to my initial feedback was unsympathetic and crass. Apple can do better than that.
