Why is my new iPhone 16e not connecting to CarPlay on my Acura TLX 2018?

Just got the new Iphone 16e. It is not connecting to the carplay on my Acura TLX 2018. My last Iphone the XR was fine and worked great with no problem. I already got a USB A to USB C cord to wire connect to the car. This car doesn't have the wireless option. I've tried going to screentime setting and content & privacy restriction, All enabled. Also deleted all paired devises and repaired the phone to the car. The car shows the wired connection saying ipod or ipad using USB but the carplay is not coming up.
