'iCloud paused' in the Messages app on a new iPhone: Got a new phone and now when on the messages app it says ‘iCloud paused’ how can I solve this?

Did you Ever Set Up iCloud Messages? If so, enable Messages in iCloud on another device associated to this same Apple Account. See if they then show up. Overview: Keep all your Messages in iCloud - Apple Support

On an iPhone:

  1. Open: Settings
  2. Tap: Your Name (top item)
  3. Tap: iCloud
  4. Tap: Messages
  5. Toggle On: Messages

On a Mac:

  1. Open: Messages
  2. Go to: Messages menu (top of screen)
  3. Select: Preferences...
  4. Select: @ iMessage (middle tab)
  5. Uncheck: Enable Messages in iCloud
