Why won't my iPhone charge with a lightning cable but works with wireless charging?

Just this morning my phone was charging well, when I got home in the afternoon it completely doesnt want to charge anymore..I’ve tried restarting my phone, even done the volume up and down reset, and cleaned out the charging port yet still nothing. I tried charging my AirPods wits the lightning cable and it charges, everything charging with the cable except my phone. It only ever charges with wireless charging, but I would still really like to fix it..Is there any way I can fix it without having to go to a repair shop..?
