Unable to delete originals from photo filed in albums

I think being unable to delete photos or even screenshots after filing them in an Album is crazy and should be simpler for Apple to fix. One of the first answers I read from them included comparing an album on my phone to using picture album at home!? Hugh? I don’t have to keep a suitcase full of thousands of “Negatives” to keep the pictures! Come on Apple. I’m not the most iPhone savvy person as it is, but should not have to be a rocket scientist either! Are you certain all my pictures that I cannot delete are not just to use more space? I like Apple very much but hard to trust anything on my cell phone these days!
