Hello RicardoRojas55,
This is unpreventable. Apple Silicon Mac laptops turn on whenever any key is pressed, even if it's not the power button. While you can't turn this feature off, this is one way to mitigate the issue:
- Shut down your MacBook Air and keep the lid open
- Clean gently using the instructions provided by Apple (I'm not sure what foam you're using, but all you need is a slightly damp lint-free cloth) How to clean your Apple products - Apple Support
- Make sure not to press the keys (I like to use the damp side of my cloth and gently travel across all the keys; then I quickly transition to the dry side to remove the moisture by swiftly, but lightly, moving back and forth)
- You can use this cloth for the rest of your Mac's body as well
For cleaning the keyboard specifically, check out this resource: How to clean the keyboard of your MacBook or MacBook Pro - Apple Support. If needed there are apps on the App Store that lock the keys of your keyboard such as CleanMyKeyboard or Real Keyboard Cleaner (and others).
As always, you can submit feedback to Apple regarding this automatic power-on feature by visiting: Product Feedback - Apple. Let me know if you have any more questions.
Have a nice day!
