If you have a problem with your phone trying to use AirPrint instead of the WiFi, your have to be connected to the WiFi and then try to Print. If your phone isn’t connected to the WiFi it’s going to use AirPrint.

Not sure what you are saying here. To use AirPrint, you need a compatible printer that is connected to the same WiFi network that your phone is connected to. Both need to be on and connected to the WiFi network.

If you’re having issues printing via AirPrint, please tell us the printer vendor and model info; tell us which printer you have.
Which iPhone? iPhone 4?
There will be other issues and limits with any iPhone still running iOS 7, however.
