iPhone stuck on Apple logo while installing latest iOS 18.3.2 update.

iPhone 13 Pro. I just tried updating it to the latest iOS 18.3.2 through the Music app via the desktop.

The update tried, but it bricked my phone - it is STUCK with the Apple logo, and the download bar running across the bottom of it. The screen is permanently FROZEN there.

I tried to hold the power button to shut it down and restart. Doesn't work. I held it for a few minutes and nothing is happening.

What can I do to get my phone back? It's totally frozen with the logo on the screen, nothing seems to work.

Help!!!!

(1) Try and Force Restart your iPhone EXACTLY as shown below and see whether that resolves the issue:

  • Press and quickly release Volume UP button
  • Press and quickly release Volume DOWN button
  • Press and Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears and then release the Side button (Can take up to 20 seconds. (DO NOT release Side Button when invited to Slide Power OFF).

(2)  If the above does not work then - Follow the instructions in this article by Apple ➔ If your iPhone is Non-Responsive or Frozen and see if that helps.

(3)  If that does not help, then contact 👉 Official Apple Support OR you can always get your iPhone examined at the Apple Store 👉 Genius Bar Reservation and Apple Support Options or at an Authorized Service Center for further diagnosis and evaluation.

Fixing a Boot Loop:

Your iPhone can at times be stuck in a Boot Loop. This typically occurs when you go about installing an update, and it stalled while in the process. Use my User Tip: How to Fix an iPhone in a Boot Loop - User Tip

For the initial hour or so, none of it worked.

I went away to go get dinner, let it sit there with the screen on like it was -

and I just did the usual move with those buttons and it worked!!!!

Screen went blank. Got the message on my desktop Music app that the phone needs recovery due to Error.

So it's trying now.

Will report back if it comes back.

Thanks.
