Is my iPhone 4 bricked?

Have an iPhone 4 that charges and gets me as far as "updating iCloud settings" then stalls out.

it's probably been 3 years since I turned it on. Are we beyond the point where I can get it up and running just to use for WiFi messaging?

How can I do iPhone Stuck on Updating iCloud Settings? I recently tried updating my iPhone and it is now stuck on updating iCloud settings. I'm not sure how to proceed, the iPhone seems to be stuck on this screen and isn't responding to any of my inputs. I tried restarting the iPhone and even resetting it, but the update process keeps getting stuck at the iCloud settings stage. I'm not sure what may have caused this issue as the iPhone was working fine before the update. Can anyone suggest a solution that can help me get my iPhone working normally again without losing any of my data? Thanks.
