can i have two iPhone with the same phone number and cloud account

hello. I currently have 16pro max with only e sim and would like to get another phone as a spare (iPhone 13)

Can I put my actual sim card in it, which would mean having two phones with the same number?

also is it possible to have the same cloud account running on 2 phones?

I wouldn’t use the 13 as an actual phone, would only have a few necessary apps downloaded and it would only be used as a “show phone”

You can have 2 phones that share an iCloud account (it’s actually a convenient thing to do, for one person, but never share between different users).

However, you can’t have 2 phones with the same phone number.

What you can do is get 2nd phone number (and pay for it), then get a free Google Voice number (voice.google.com) and program it to ring both numbers at the same time.

You don’t need a SIM card in the 2nd phone (although you can leave the expired SIM card in it without any harm); you will be using it like an iPod Touch.

and what about if I dont even want to use the 2nd phone for any calls or messages? Can i get away with not even having a sim card in it? and just sink my apps from my cloud?

or do i need a sim card even if i just want to share my data and ‘hot spot’ ?
