USB-C Cable Warranty Help is Needed!! Can I claim warranty in a foreign country?

So I’m currently on vacation and I tried using my only Apple official usb-c to usb-c thinking it was reliable and everything so that’s the only usb-c to usb-c cable I brought on my trip. I am now in Macao 🇲🇴, China’s SAR and there is an Apple Store right across the street. I got the usb-c cable in Vancouver, Canada. I still have the receipt for it. Would it be a possibility that I can go there somehow find a way to speak to the employees and get my cable claimed under warranty. They’re accessories there aren’t cheap compared to Canada.

So the problem I’m currently having with my cable is if I plug it in to a Apple block into an outlet and I plug anything (particularly my phone) and wiggle the string before the plastic part of the cable closest to my phone is just charges on and off, and I’ve tried switching the cable around different outlet different devices and stuff. If I rest my device it always goes off and doesn’t charge. It’s fustrating that I have to use my 15W MagSafe charger especially when I need it to charge at the fastest wattage.

If I sound confusing or there is any clarification needed just let me know and I’ll try to reply. Thanks for all the potential feedback. 😀

Just so you are aware, Apple does not have international warranties. If you want a replacement, under warranty, you will have to do it in Canada since this is where you purchased it ...

... and not to "add salt to the wound," if you are looking to get a free replacement, an Apple Technician would have to examine the cable and deem it a manufacturing defect and not user-caused.

Wouldn't a cable be pretty universal? Anecdotal evidence is that if the swap is for something that any Apple Store would have, you stand a good chance of getting warranty service.

Definitely.

I would agree 1000%. Your advice is spot-on. I just wanted to help set the OP's expectations should they not be accommodated by the Macao Apple Store.

And the warning is a sound one. Throw in a possible language issue and who knows!
