Apple TV app doesn't work on my Amazon TV

I have tried multiple times to subscribe to the Apple TV app on my Amazon TV. I have submitted a support ticket with Amazon but they have disappeared. I will subscribe to Apple TV, but when I try to watch a show, it will prompt me to subscribe. When I click "subscribe" I will get an error message saying that I already subscribed. At no point is there a simple "play" button for the shows I want to watch.
