Black Screen with Audio:

Screenrecording an iTunes Store-purchased video only plays audio, and gives a black screen. So, that’s how piracy would become of concern here.

Boot in Safe Mode: [Hold Down: shift key, upon boot], In Safe Mode, Login Items do not run at login, certain preferences are set aside, and damaged system files are then reset. So, once booted in to Safe Mode, wait 30 seconds, and then boot up normally, seeing if this still occurs.

“Black screen for streaming videos, working audio: My MacBook Pro just recently started having this issue. Most but not all videos on F1 TV and now Max only show a black screen, but I have audio. YouTube seems to work fine. It definitely seems to be an issue with the Mac and not wifi or the websites. I have the most recent update for my Mac and Safari. The problem persists when I restart my computer. It happens in Safari and Chrome. Does anyone know of a fix for this issue?”

Almost seems piracy is the issue here. So, start with trying another browser like Brave. or Mozilla Firefox. You’ll find them right in the App Store, as long as they are available in your country/region.
