Recovering deleted synced files (iCloud)

Working with iMac and a MacBook Pro M1 Max, and OS Sequoia 15.3.2, I incidentally removed two synced folders from my iMac. Only 24 hrs later I realized this and wanted to recover the files. No way, nor even with some support from Apple.

The point is that I removed the files to the bin and then emptied the bin. I felt confident that files would be recoverable for 30 days, but has not been so.

Anyone to help me? All I have lost is of outmost importance for my work.

You permanently deleted the files when you emptied the trash. There is nothing to recover. You’ll need to recover any files from the backups that you keep elsewhere.

In Finder you can go to Settings,

and check to remove items after 30 days. That's the safety, You can empty the trash before the 30 day period is up, if you want to bypass that safety feature.

If you uncheck this choice, then items will wait for you to manually empty the trash. Again, when you choose to empty the trash, the items are gone.
