How do I resolve 'Payment not Completed' error during app installation on iPhone?

For some days now i have been having issues with installing a new app on apple store. Each time I click the side button, it tell me Payment not Completed. This has never happened before so I don't know how to even go about it, I have no subscription active nor any payment pending. What could be the issue please?
