New Latency in Logic Pro for iPad/iPadOS 18

I have noticed latency which never existed previously 🤷‍♂️

Steps:

  1. Open an empty/new Logic Pro for iPad project.
  2. Plug my guitar into my Evo4 - I/O Buffer 64 Samples.
  3. Use any Amp Designer, or any AuV3 Amp simulator.
  4. Major latency occurs when playing - About a quarter second.
  5. Latency goes away when I turn Low Latency mode on. Note: I never had to do this before!

Answers to questions you might ask:

  1. Logic Pro for iPad version 2.1.
  2. iPadOS version 18.3.2 (This issue started with an earlier version 18)
  3. iPad Pro 2021 (M1)
  4. I notice no latency with the following DAWs (GarageBand, AUM, Cubasis)

I know I can use Low Latency mode, but that is not the point.

Something has changed with version 18.

Side note: Strangeness also occurs with Apple Music on my iPad. It stops playing after a minute or so. This does not happen with my iPhone 8.

Thanks in advance 😎

What plugins are you using? Sounds like you might have a plugin causing the latency, anything different than your previous projects? Not sure about the version you're using but in Logic for Mac, open the mixer and see if there's any plugin colored orange. If so, that's the plugin causing the latency you're hearing.
