Why is my dog bark tone missing after updating to iOS 18?

Apple retired some tones and it appears your Dog Barking tone was one they retired. You can go to the iTunes Tone Store and buy a dog barking tone for about $1. Otherwise, you'll need to choose a different tone.

This happened a while ago. Some tones which worked for messages were retired and some tones which worked for calls were retired, but not necessary the same tone for both. And you are correct, it still available as ringtone for calls. It is no longer available as a tone for messages.

But it’s still available for a ringtone which is interesting.

🤣😂🤣 That’s a great idea!! Why stop at dogs though? I could get pig, chicken, cow, and cat ringtones too! Have my phone sound like a proper barnyard! 😆
