Why does my Apple Watch show ECG 'Poor Recording'?

Everytime I try to take an ecg I get an error message saying ‘poor recording’. I’ve been through Apple support but no suggestions worked. Anyone else experience this? Put the watch on my husband’s wrist & it works fine so it isn’t the watch. I have tiny wrists but the hear rate app works fine & it records my sleep patterns too. Can anyone please help?

I tried each wrist, I tried all the Apple suggestions, wiping the watch, washing & drying the back of it, resting my arm on a flat surface etc. nothing works. I e also spoken to Customer Support who sent me an email to attach my reading results but it could take a long while before they come back to me (Apple assistant words). Since this is the main reason I purchased the watch I fear I’m going to have to return it before my 14 day window expires.
