Wi-Fi doesn’t show connected for apps after the latest iOS update

Called Apple yesterday and reviewed all steps taken. Thought maybe fixed when rigged airplane mode as YouTube came up momentarily but issue still affecting majority of apps on phone. WiFi is operational on laptop so not a network issue.

I had offloaded apps to make room for update but now the apps won’t connect no matter resetting or reloading.

Please help!

Perhaps a long shot:

Do you have a 3rd party VPN installed, even if you are not using it? If so, delete the VPN profile in Settings/General/VPN & Device Management/VPN. Don't just turn it off; delete the profile. If that fixes it, you can try reinstalling VPN. VPN actually reduces your privacy, it does not enhance it, so you may want to rethink the reason you use VPN.

  3. Disable: Wi-Fi
  4. Wait: 30 seconds
  5. Enable: Wi-Fi

V. Add Back the Network:

  1. Go to: Settings
  2. Tap: Wi-Fi
  3. Remove: the network
  4. Wait: 30 seconds
  5. Add: the network back
