GarageBand running in the background completely drains MacBook battery in a few hours

When I have GarageBand open in the background on my MacBook (m2 pro), it is draining to 0% from 100% in a couple of hours even if it’s closed down.

i tried revoking the microphone access thinking the constant listening may be the issue, but it didn’t help.

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 15.2
