Touching iPhone in nightstand mode kills other alarms
In the nightstand mode, if you touch the phone, it kills other subsequint alarms. This has been an ongoing problem. Why has this not been fixed?

This is not my job. I’m here because I love to help wonderful people like you, even if it’s with something as simple as updating your device. We’re all volunteers here.
And oh, I’m glad you brought it up. You should definitely try a forced restart: Force restart iPhone - Apple Support.
So restart the device, update it to iOS 18.3.2, and report back if the issue persists. Because if you’re able to kill all your alarms by simply touching the screen while the iPhone is in StandBy mode, that’s obviously a serious issue.

You started it! Ha ha. I just don't enjoy the pat answer - upgrade, reboot, then check back in. You were so unaware of an existing and persistent problem and it bothered me to be put off as such. Best of luck to you in whatever you do. As for me, I am weaning myself out of the Apple tree of life and moving to a more evolved and sustainable environment.
Well I didn’t know it had been an ongoing issue, since you hadn’t provided that info in your initial post. But I understand your frustration.
If you want to pursue a solution here, please tell us the Maximum Capacity of your device’s battery. Settings > Battery > Battery Health. Since your device is quite old (It was released 7 years ago,) the battery may be significantly downgraded, which could cause other issues for your device.
“You were so unaware of an existing and persistent problem and it bothered me to be put off as such”
You know Gary, there are so many different issues out there, it’s simply impossible to keep up with them all. I’ve been here for quite a while, and I’ve never heard of this issue. Might it not be as common as you think it is?
Also, can you elaborate on what you mean by “nightstand mode”?
”As for me, I am weaning myself out of the Apple tree of life and moving to a more evolved and sustainable environment.”
Best of luck to you too. Hopefully you get the issue resolved, sooner rather than later. Of course, we’ll always be here to try and assist you to the best of our capability.

It almost sounds like you don't want to answer the question. It's pretty straight forward. Has this problem been addressed in the new version of iOS or has it not? If it has not been addressed, then why update to a newer version? So simple. Or maybe you can't answer the question because you don't know and aren't willing to find out.
I don’t know. Apple doesn’t tell us what the “bug fixes” are.
That’s all we’re told about the newest update:
And I don’t need your attitude. Come back when you’ve updated and restarted the device, and maybe someone else will help you. Or contact Apple Support directly: Official Apple Support

I don’t understand the question. It almost sounds like you don’t want the problem to go away! 😆 But I reckon that’s me misinterpreting your post.

This is a user-to-user volunteer forum. If you don't like an answer or it doesn't help you, at least recognize that someone took time out of their day to try to help you. Say "thank you" and move on. Kindergarten tit for tat isn't helpful to anyone.
Right, so you keep the tit and the tat going by responding with childish retorts. Congratulations. Thank you for an absolute waste of time. Don't worry. I won't be wasting anymore of my time or yours here.
What changes or improvements in a new version of iOS will affect this problem?
It's an issue that's been documented for over a year. Through multiple iOS updates. Since iOS 12.
