App Store on iOS 18.3.2?

I’ve recently updated to iOS 18.3.2. Since then, I’ve been trying to load two new apps. In both cases, when I select the app from the “storefront”, I’m directed to the app-specific page, and it tells me to “double-click to download” and there is a box in the upper left corner, sort of bouncing in and out of the screen. But when I attempt to double-click, it takes me back to the “storefront”. Am I doing something wrong, or is the App Store app broken in 18.3.2? Thanks in advance!
