When restoring iPhone SE1 will it automatically upgrade to ios15 (its maximum version).

Hi all

I am about to hand my phone in for a new battery and wanted to factory reset and restore data afterwards from a backup on my Mac. However, I am concerned how my phone will update to its maximum iOS version ios15. Does it do it automatically or is it a different stage from the restore process?

Oh I see. So when you reset the iPhone to factory settings, the iOS version it is at, in this case ios15, stays the same. I do not need to do anything to rebuild it.
