To rename a Bluetooth device on your iPhone, follow these steps:

  1. Connect the Device:
    • Ensure the Bluetooth device you want to rename is connected to your iPhone. You can check this in Settings > Bluetooth.
  1. Access Device Settings:
    • In the Bluetooth menu, locate the device you want to rename under My Devices.
    • Tap the info icon (i) next to the device name.
  1. Rename the Device:
    • Tap on the current name of the device.
    • Enter the new name you want for the device.
    • Tap Done to save the changes.

For more details, you can refer to Apple's official guide on Bluetooth settings.

Let me know if you need further assistance!

Note: For some devices, you may not be able to edit the name shown. Only certain compatible devices can be renamed (e.g. AirPods, some connected displays, etc.)

If the option is not shown, then you cannot edit the name of the Bluetooth Device.

Hello!

It’s possible to rename Bluetooth devices, because I’ve done it before, but I’m not sure if you have to be paired with the device to do it. I just checked, and you cannot rename the device when you’re not connected to the Bluetooth device, and I can’t check if it would work to connect then try renaming it, at the moment.

Can someone check this please, who has a readily available Bluetooth device nearby? If not, I’ll try to remember to when I get home.

Edit: Never mind. Thanks magnus_xchamp!
