E-mail notifications no longer illuminate a locked iPhone

Two bugs:

1) Since 18.3, e-mail notifications no longer illuminate my iPhone 16's lock screen. I'm now on 18.3.2. This is also the case for my wife's iPhone 12. Notifications are fully enabled in settings.

2) Tapping the screen shows a notification, but using it to go to the Mail app freezes the app, requiring it to be minimised then re-opened to access the e-mail.

Anyone else? I reported the bug weeks ago, but there's no fix yet and it's annoying as I can't just glance at my phone when it's on my desk and an e-mail comes through, so I thought by posting here I'd raise exposure.
