How to change App Store status from minor to adult?

I had to have parents' consent to download apps before, but I'm an adult now and why I still have to get their permissions for downloading apps?

Parental control age limit I remember reading that the parental restrictions on an Apple ID automatically turn off when “the account” turns 18, I recently turned 18, and my age is correct in my Apple ID, but it still tells me that I need to ask for permission to download apps, is there anything I can do apart from changing it with the “family administrators” account?
