First, once again, Try and Force Restart your iPhone EXACTLY as shown below and see whether that resolves the issue:

  • Press and quickly release Volume UP button
  • Press and quickly release Volume DOWN button
  • Press and Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears and then release the Side button (Can take up to 20 seconds. (DO NOT release Side Button when invited to Slide Power OFF).

If both swipe-to-unlock and force restart fail on your iPhone 11, you can try these alternative methods. If you are not comfortable with the methods listed below, then I recommend that you contact 👉 Official Apple Support

1. Recovery Mode:

  • Connect your iPhone to a computer with iTunes(Windows) or Finder (Mac).
  • Press and quickly release the Volume Up button, then the Volume Down button.
  • Hold the Side button until the recovery mode screen appears.
  • Use iTunes or Finder to restore your iPhone.

2. DFU Mode:

  • Connect your iPhone to a computer.
  • Press and release Volume Up, then Volume Down.
  • Hold the Side button until the screen goes black.
  • Release the Side button, then hold Volume Down and the Side button together for about 5 seconds.
  • Release the Side button but keep holding Volume Down for another 10 seconds.
  • Your screen should remain black, indicating DFU mode. Restore your iPhone using iTunes (Windows) or Finder (Mac).

3. Find My iPhone:

  • From another device, Log in to 👉 www.icloud.com and choose the Find My section.
  • Use the "Erase iPhone" option to reset your device remotely.

These methods will erase your data, so ensure you have a backup.

Force Restart will not "unlock" the phone, but if it is done correctly, the phone will restart.

Quickly press and release the Up button

Quickly press and release the the Down Button

Hold the Side button for 15-20 seconds and ignore the slider when it appears and keep holding until you see the Apple logo in the center of the screen, then release the Side button

This restart will always work......unless......there is a hardware problem with the phone.

Unlocking the phone.....it is is locked.....is a different process. What is the message that appears on the screen?

Unavailable? Security Locked? Activation Locked? Something else?

When you say that the Forced Restart did not work, I take that to mean that the phone did not restart.

Then.....as I mentioned......a Forced Restart will always work to restart the phone.....unless.....the phone has a hardware problem.

Your phone will need service at the Genius Bar or an authorized Apple service shop.

You can find a list of Apple authorized shops in your area using this link:
