It sounds like you're experiencing an issue with the Quick Start feature while transferring data from your iPhone 6 to the iPhone 16. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:

1. Ensure Bluetooth is Enabled

  • Both devices need to have Bluetooth turned on for the transfer to work. Check that Bluetooth is enabled on both phones.

2. Check Wi-Fi Connection

  • Ensure both devices are connected to a stable Wi-Fi network. Even though Quick Start uses Bluetooth to initiate, Wi-Fi is necessary for the actual data transfer.

3. Reboot Both Devices

  • Try restarting both your iPhone 6 and iPhone 16. This can sometimes resolve connection glitches.

4. Move the Devices Slightly

  • While the devices are right next to each other, it might help to slightly adjust their position or orientation. Sometimes, very close proximity can cause interference.

5. Try the Transfer Again

  • After ensuring the above steps, try initiating the transfer again. If you still see the message, disconnect and reconnect the devices.

6. Update iOS

  • Ensure both devices are updated to the latest version of iOS, as software updates often fix bugs and improve functionality.

7. Use iCloud or iTunes as an Alternative

  • If the issue persists, you can use iCloud or iTunes as an alternative method to transfer data:

  • iCloud: Backup your old iPhone (iPhone 6) to iCloud and then restore the backup on the new iPhone (iPhone 16).

    • iTunes (or Finder on macOS Catalina and later): Backup your iPhone 6 to your computer and restore the backup on your new iPhone.
