On my iPhone 6s I could assign custom tones for ring tones and messages so that I knew who they were from but this is not working on my iPhone 11, any help would be appreciated, thank you

Hello there! May I get more details regarding that? I actually have a workaround, but it’s not simple and may be worth trying.

  1. For the ringtone, make sure it is an MP3, you may take it from youtube via links.
  2. Go to cobalt.tools on your safari and paste the link
  3. Tap the audio part, and tap the arrows on the end
  4. Tap the download button and download
  5. Download GarageBand on the App store
  6. Swipe to audio recorder and tap voice
  7. Hit the upper left button that looks like a brick (you will be passed to the timeline part)
  8. Go to the files app, See the recents tab and you should see your song, then copy it
  9. Go back to Garageband, tap paste, and allow paste
  10. Cut the part of the audio that is silent and not needed (find a stopping point as a ringtone cannot exceed 30 seconds, you can preview the sound by tapping to play)
  11. . Tap the upper left arrow and tap my songs
  12. Rename your ringtone on the files
  13. Tap the song and share, then tap ringtone and export (Ringtone export successful)
  14. Then tap “use sound as” and select “standard ringtone”
  15. Done! Your ringtone is done!

Please feel free to reach out again if this doesn’t work. Thanks and good luck!
