iPhone 14 back camera

When taking selfies using the back camera, the photo looks really high quality on the phone, however when I look at the actual photo I have taken my face looks blurred and grainy, when I hold down on the live photo, the quality is better. Why is it blurry? I’ve messed around with the settings and I cannot get it not blurry and grainy. I have cleaned the back camera.

Here's why this could be happening and how you can try to resolve the issue:

1. Live Photo Quality: When you hold down on a Live Photo, you're seeing a short video clip, which might appear sharper due to the way it's processed. The still image, however, might be affected by noise reduction or compression algorithms.

2. HDR and Processing: iPhones use advanced image processing, including HDR (High Dynamic Range), to enhance photos. Sometimes, this processing can result in a slightly grainy or blurred appearance, especially in low light.

3. Lighting Conditions: Poor lighting can cause graininess or blur. The camera might struggle to focus or compensate for the lack of light, leading to reduced quality.

4. Settings Adjustment: Check your camera settings. Go to Settings ➡️ Camera and try disabling features like Smart HDR or Lens Correction to see if it improves the quality.

5. Reset Camera Settings: If you've adjusted many settings, resetting them to default might help. Go to Settings ➡️ Camera and reset the settings.

6. Test in Different Modes: Try taking photos in different modes (e.g., Portrait, Night Mode) to see if the issue persists.
