so i got a second hand iphone 8, that thinks its a 7, and now its stuck at the iphone unavailable screen, i need to wait an hour then i get to a trying to recover data screen, after that it just tries again with no success and it just reboots, what do i do

This should be the least of your worries for your second hand iPhone you bought. You can connect your iPhone to a computer and restore it from there. But after that the iPhone will likely have an Activation Lock from the previous owner, meaning they did not properly erase it and you were scammed. If so, you won’t be able to setup and use this iPhone on your own and the best thing you can try to do is ask the seller for a refund.
