How do I enable the unread message count feature on iPad Pro?
My iPad Air 2 always displayed a red circle indicating the number of unread messages in all my message apps. How can I turn this feature on?

You will need to enable Badges for your Message Notifications:
Settings > Notifications > Messages > Badges - set to ON
