"My Apple 20W adapter is new. When I plugged it into a loose socket, there was a small spark, and a mark or a small piece came off. However, the adapter is still working perfectly fine. Is this normal, and can I still use it? Please check the attached picture and let me know. I’m very worried."

The adapter is fine, have an electrician check the wall socket which should not be "loose". Further sparks can overheat the pins.
All high power apple adapters I ever owned will spark on plugging in due to the capacitors taking a high initial current.
Nothing to worry about that is normal for a loose connection. However I would suggest not using a loose electrical socket, use one that has a tight connection.
