iCloud Photos Missing After Subscription Canceled/Renewal

Hello,

I had an iCloud subscription and had uploaded a lot of photos from my phone to my Mac. However, my payment method was declined, and my iCloud subscription was canceled. I renewed my subscription today, but I can no longer find the photos I had uploaded.

Have they been permanently deleted, or is there a way to recover them? Last payment was at December 2024 before cancellation.

You’ll need to recover from your backups that you keep elsewhere.

No. The data is gone if not at iCloud.com. Perhaps it’s still on one of your devices that sync with iCloud.

thank you for your answer, but unfortunately I don't have any backups elsewhere. Does Apple back up data in any way after cancellation, do you have any information about this?
