How to resolve 'Legacy software HP.com' alert on iMac with M1 chip?

I am on an iMac, M1 chip, running OS 15.3.2. I received an alert regarding a Legacy software issue: "Existing software on your system loaded a system extension signed by “HP Inc.” which will be incompatible with a future version of macOS. Contact the developer for support."

I contacted HP, and they said it is an Apple issue. Does this mean that my HP printer will no longer work with the next MacOS update?

The link took me to an HP forum. One question was identical to mine, and an HP employee had responded with instructions, which I followed. First, I checked for any HP software on my iMac, which I did not have. Then I went to the HP Support site and located my printer. I did a firmware update for Mac OS 15. It wanted me to download Smart HP app, which I did not do, because I have been using this printer already. Probably tomorrow I will find out if I still get the alert. Thank you very much for your help!
