Self Service Diagnostics not working

Hi all,

I am about to start the repair of my MacBook Pro 14" 2021 with a display issue.

In the Apple Diagnostics for Self Service Repair - Apple Support article, I can see a post repair diagnostic is required, and should be available at the link https://getsupport.apple.com/self-service-diagnostics.

However, when visiting the page I receive the message "This feature is currently not available in your region". I am in The Netherlands, so the feature should be available in this Region.

Is anyone else experiencing the same issue? How did you resolve it?

You will need to contact Apple through whatever contacts they have provided you with that Self Service Program. Good luck.

Are you using any VPNs or other third party security software that may interfere? Even macOS new privacy & security features have Safari appear differently (I forget the name of that feature that is in Sequoia, not sure if Sonoma has it as well). Perhaps try a Chromium based browser such as Vivaldi or Brave.

Apple’s backbench diagnostic — AST2 (Apple Service Toolkit) is certainly more comprehensive.

The standard consumer facing Diagnostics the MRI (Mac Resource Inspector,) is a customer facing diagnostic tool that tests all the internal components to make sure they are connected and power on.

It also displays simple diagnostic information like the health of the battery. It's a very simple diagnostic tests meant to be run in front of the customer to make sure they can see if the components are working or not and is just a very basic quick test which does little more than check sensors.

"re: and why should it be exactly...?" It should be, because Apple has made the Self-Service repair option available in countries out of USA. Shouldn't it? Sources:

Anyway the program is actually active in USA since 2022. Source:

I know AST2, but the suite is available for use only to Apple IDs connected to Apple (such as AASP) if I'm not wrong. My main concern is the fact I can actually order the spare parts to perform the repair, but without the post-diagnostic process (at the link above) is not possible to serialize the replaced parts, hence they would be totally or partially unusable.

No VPNs, no network settings that could interfere with localization or IP masking; is the option you mentioned the Private Wi-Fi address one maybe? I'm not sure about this one, as it should only rotate the IP addresses continuously to prevent tracking, but should not affect localization.

I tried actually with Chrome and Safari but no luck so far, I may try other browsers like the ones you suggested before the final step of contacting the Apple support and cross fingers 🤞🏼.
