Is it possible to track down a scummy spammer who I think I may know but not sure.. they keep sending me the same line, ‘here’s some pictures of you’ with a link, which I never open.. who could help me here to track this person down?

Seems spam eMail is best sent to the spam-experts in your country. Eg: Many governments have set them up:
Eg: in Australia: https://www.scamwatch.gov.au/types-of-scams US:https://www.usa.gov/scams-and-fraud
Else: Viewing the full headers should show details of the sender, unless they have particular skills.in hiding their id
If you use iCloud, you can:
View all email headers in Mail on iCloud.com - Apple Support
If you don't use iCloud ... you can view full header in an email in the Mail app on a Mac:
Show detailed headers in Mail on Mac - Apple Support
or
You may also be able to see full headers by logging in to your e=mail account on your eMail provider's website.
