Complete and total SCAM. For what its worth, that phone number will not reach WhatsApp

Whoever you talk to will say that they need to get your banking information so your "pay" will be direct deposited. All that you will be doing is giving them access to your account. Instead of deposits, you will see withdrawals until you notify your bank that you have been scammed.

That scam message was not from TikTok.

Social media services including TikTok are filled with potential candidates for scamming, however.

TikTok is already getting immense volumes of content, too. For free.

As for spam and scams, sending telephone numbers can be faked, just as can sending email addresses.

Sounds like a classic scam.

Work from home, easy work, make big bucks, and they just happen to be recruiting anyone who responds to the bait, instead of actually interviewing and screening people to look for the ones who can do the job.

Mark the message as junk and report it if the option is there. You may or may not continue to receive the messages.

But, there are millions of messages like this going out every day. If this is the first one that you have encountered, you are very very lucky.

The latest popular scam is a message indicating that your order (for something you never ordered) is shipping and your account will be billed for something like $840.27. If you want to cancel, you need to call xxx.xxx.xxxx and they will ask for your credit card information so the correct credit will be issued to your account.

Suddenly a real charge will appear on your account. You have been scammed.
