How do I update iPhone X to iOS 17?

For the iPhone X......iOS 16.7.10 is the end of the update road.

iOS 17 is no longer available, and you will need an iPhone XR or higher model to run iOS 18.

Note......the iPhone X could not run iOS 17.....even if it was available.

Hello! Sadly, the iPhone X doesn't support iOS 17. iOS 17 only supports the iPhone XS and onward. I hope this helps!
