This is the Apple Account website. That is where you can access your iTunes account or apple Account details, but it has nothing to do with your iPod nano in any way. The iPod nano cannot be connected to your account like that because it has no internet access, so cannot be shown there.

You don't need the iPod nano to appear there though. All you need is either the iTunes Application or the Devices App installed on your Windows PC. Either one can help you sync music to the iPod.

Your account is with the iTunes Store, rather than in iTunes (the programme). As such, there is no need to enter your information about your iPod nano within your account.

The more important question is does the iPod show up in iTunes, as a device? Look for an iPod icon on iTunes' top bar:

To manage your iPod nano you need to use iTunes (the programme on your computer), not the iTunes Store or any other "iTunes" thing. (Well done Apple for making this more complicated than it needs to be.)

So the question is, do you have iTunes installed on your computer?

• • if you have a Windows PC, you need to install iTunes on it
  • if you have an older Mac, using OS Mojave (10:14) or earlier, iTunes will be built in to the computer
  • if you use a newer Mac, using OS Catalina (10:15) or later, you use Finder to manage the iPod (as there is no iTunes for it). Again, Finder comes pre=-installed on the machine

I think, based on your screenshot, that you have Windows 11, but once you confirm what type of computer you have (of the three types above) and we can advise what steps to take.

You do not need to open an iTunes account.

Instead, if the iPod icon is not shown on the top bar menu, as indicated in my screenshot, read this Apple article to see if that solves the issue: If your computer doesn’t recognise your iPhone or iPad – Apple Support (UK).

At the same time, make sure that the cable that you are using to connect the iPod to your computer is in good condition and that there is some charge in the iPod's battery. Try another cable if possible.
