How do I recover my Messages icon on my iPhone7 ?

My Message icon was included in a square which also included Signal’s icon.

When in touched the icon the edit screen process started with all icons vibrating The minus sign appeared on my message icon. When I touched that to move it out of the box onto my Home Screen it disappeared. I think the icon was deleted. I can still find my messages by going signing into the Apple Store and touching the messages app but I would like to restore the message icon to my Home Screen. Any ideas?

I believe you were referring to your Messages app being in a folder, then you went into edit mode when the icons started jiggling, and then you hid the icon. Since you cannot delete the Messages app.

In that case, continue to swipe left until you reach the App Library, then search for the Messages app there, and drag it back to your Home Screen.
