iPad internet is so slow pages won’t load properly

Just all of a sudden in the last week, my iPad Internet connection is so slow. I checked for updates. I have rebooted my iPad. I am sitting close to the router and the Internet speed is still super slow. Slow enough that pages won’t even load. My cell phone is sitting right beside me and I ran a speed test on it and it’s getting a fast Internet connection so I don’t understand what’s wrong with his iPad. Anybody have any other ideas?
