I have the latest watch OS. In the past I could swipe up on the watch face and see the battery status ring but a past OS update must have changed that. Now when I swipe up once I get the date, clock face and local temperature. A second swipe gives the widgets, I believe. How can I check the battery status?

Push in the side button to see the control center. It was changed from swipe up to push in the side button.

Pushing the button brings up what I believe are the widgets, images to push to do certain tasks such as timer, EEG, exercise recording, etc.
How can I check the Apple Watch battery status?
