Is there anyway to check if you have been hacked on your iphone?

Mu phone is running a little slow and things are not loading quite right, so wanted to do some kind of check to see if it is hacker related. for peace of mind. Plus bank and credit union breaches are happening all the time now.

iPhone 15 Pro Max, iOS 18

You'd have to be extremely rich or someone at a very high level, such as a Senator, Congressman, Ambassador or similar for anyone to want to invest hundreds of thousands of dollars into hacking you. Translation, it's very hard and very costly to hack an iPhone which hasn't been jailbroken. Nothing you've described leads one to think you've been hacked.

Have you force restarted your iPhone lately? Are you using a Passcode and Find My on your phone? Are you using Two Factor Authentication on your Apple Account?

Are you running low in memory on your iPhone? That could cause a phone to run slow. Open the Settings App > General > iPhone Storage and see if you are running out of space. If you are, delete things you don't need or use, such as Apps, Photos, Music, Files, Messages, Email, Files.........

Even if your iPhone was hacked, which it surely doesn’t seem that way, you wouldn’t even be able to check. The reason being is because hacking an iPhone, also known as jail breaking, is done physically and not remotely. So if the iPhone is in your hands, and not someone else’s, you are not hacked. And if there are lots of bank breaches happening, that would be related to your bank’s issue and them not securing your data, nothing Apple related.

Regarding your iPhone running slow, first make sure you are on the latest iOS 18.3.2. I agree with lobsterghost1 and that you should perform a Forced Restart. Also make sure you have sufficient free storage on your iPhone, ideally 10 GB and up. Post back if needed.
